Winston-Salem's ACS Benefit Services has hired a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina executive and Wake Forest alumnus as its next CEO. The company has enlisted Bruce Allen, Vice President for Medicare at Blue Cross, to become CEO, effective July 1. Allen will succeed Beverly Proctor, who as served as interim CEO since Kari Niblack, a former TBJ Most Admired CEO recipient, left the top post in April of last year to became president of Blackwell Captive Solutions. Proctor will return to her role as chief operating officer.
